Nick asked:
I used the language filter trick to just get overkill. What are my chances of getting banned from matchmaking? And plus, I didn’t plan to match up with these people. I changed my language just to get lucky and get some people to agree with me to help me.

Your chances are pretty good at getting banned. If someone reports you for cheating and specifies the cheat you used, they can look it up on the saved game and identify if you actually cheated.
There is a reason why the server saves a hard copy of all games to their server. It’s not just so you can go back and watch it, it’s so they can also minimize people cheating.

ive done it before but not on lone wolves. I was just with a group of friends that thought it would be funny to play against some japanese people in team slayer. I dont really think that is cheating…..

You can’t get banned trust me. Because if you were to change the language filter just to play with people who speak another language bungie can’t denie that. Plus how do they know you dont speak another language?
haha halo 3 is so over protective, i had about 15 gt’s at a time on halo 2 for modding and all of them got me through 7 hours of game play. People said they’d ban my IP and stuff… bull
