At least 6 months or as soon as possible. I know some people who put together shotgun weddings and got all the stuff line up in less than two weeks and others who planned for two years.

I always tell people, if you have the money to pay the deposits…book them as soon as possible to ensure that you get the person/business you want handeling your wedding. It only takes one other bride thinking further in advance than you to keep you from your fav DJ, photographer or bakery. Only if you have the money to do so far in advance, otherwise at least 6 months in advance. Good luck.
